Introduction Approximately 13 years ago I was clambering off a picnic bench when I severely rolled my ankle. The next day my ankle swelled, turned purple and was a little tender to walk on for a few days. The swelling went down and I carried on with my daily life. A month later I went on holiday to Florida, I jumped in a swimming pool and felt my ankle buckle under the pressure of the water. It was after this point I started getting a tingling sensation in my foot each night. I could not kick a football for 12 months in fear of causing further damage. The sensation would be unbearable and would require me to wear a pressure sock long term to dispel the sensation. Using doctor Google I self diagnosed tarsal tunnel syndrome.
